Apostille, Notarisation, Certifying of Documents
Notarisation- £95.00 per document (or set of documents)
Notarisation and apostilles are a formality often required for documents which are to be used overseas, or for certifying document copies. A copy of the document is normally notarised, but some documents such as birth certificates are not notarised as the original document must be used. The notarisation is carried out by a UK Solicitor and member of the Law Society. If you have more than one document please call us for a quote, we may be able to arrange a lower price for larger volumes.
Apostilles- £72.00 per document
Once a document has been notarised by a Notary Public, and if it is to be used overseas, it may need to be apostilled. This means that the Notary's signature and seal are certified by the U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office will then attach an apostille or a Legalisation Certificate to the document. The fee includes the FCO fee and document return by Recorded Delivery (UK only). This normally takes around 3-5 working days.
Legalisation- £ POA
Once a document has been notarised and apostilled, it then may need to be legalised by the Consulate of the country in which it will be used, if the country is not party to the Hague Convention.
The price and processing time differs for each country, please call us for more details.
If your documents need to be certified in another language we can also arrange certified professional translations. Prices depend on language and length of document. Please ask us for a free quote.
All prices include VAT, government fees and postage by recorded delivery (UK only)
