Digital Signatures.

Instead of using the old method of using a nominee director and secretary to register the company and then transferring it to you, digital signatures were devised by Companies House so that we can appoint you as the first director(s), secretary (if required), and shareholders. This makes the whole process much quicker and the company is then ready to trade immediately with no forms to complete afterwards. To do this we need some personal information from you to create your digital signature. It can be any three of the following:

First 3 letters of town of birth
Last 3 digits of phone number
Last 3 characters of NI Number
Last 3 characters of Passport number
First 3 letters of mothers maiden name
First 3 letters of eye colour
First 3 letters of fathers first name

This information is then submitted to Companies House electronically and your company will be ready to go within a few hours, with no need to fill in forms to appoint the director and secretary, transfer the shares, or complete the first and second minutes. Digital Signatures are optional with the basic and premium packages.
